The English and Te Reo versions of Te Tiriti/The Treaty are the same

The English and Te Reo Māori versions of the Treaty are not the same: under New Zealand constitutional law and international treaty law, the Te Reo Māori text (Te Tiriti) is the recognised document, and it differs from the English version in the preamble and in Articles One and Two. Most notably around the terms sovereignty, kawanatanga, and tino rangatiratanga.
