You will pay 45% of your income in the Greens Tax Plan if you earn over $160k

The Greens 'Tax Policy for Us' very specifically says it is an adjustment to the bands of taxable income and would result in the lowest band not being taxed at all. People earning over $160k annually would be paying $0.45 on every dollar they earn OVER $160k, not on the full salaried amount.

The AAP ran an independent Fact Check on this claim made by Simeon Brown and called it out as misleading. Due to the nature of Simeon's role, he has to know his statement is misleading at best which makes this intentional, and this is why we're labelling it as False.
